Hello Sankara (sandramitchell) your new post V is for Vulture
is amazing how you can make your book AmaZing Animals very interesting with your detailed comments about the vulture along with all your pictures.
Some day I'm going to ask, what is the format for posting more than One graphic or picture. Today I a good time to ask.
Thank you for sharing your talent.
Gert

Thank you so very much, Gert, for this lovely review and the six stars! That is so kind of you.

    To put the pictures throughout...
I write all my posts first on my 'Google Docs'
Find the pictures you need to add. I go to 'Pixabay.com' where you can use any pictures you want, free of charge and for personal or/and commercial use. It's a wonderful site.
I download the ones I need to my pictures file....
Then I insert/add them to my post....
Once they are in place ... save....
    Click on 'copy'...
Next I go back to Fanstory...
    Click on 'new post'
    Click on 'advanced editor.
Click, 'ctrl v' on your keyboard, that will paste the whole document with the pictures.
All I have to do then is check it through. And save.

I have tried to do this with my MS Word but wasn't successful.
I hope I've made it understandable, I'm terrible at explaining things! :( If there is anything you need me to explain, please come back to me.

Thank you again, my friend, I really appreciate your lovely support. Sending you a warm hug. Sandra xxx

Well, I may be too late to get any brownie points, but this was well worth the read in it's own merit. It just goes to show, man can nearly wipe out a whole species with one simple mistake. As we all know, they are not the most attractive creatures, but they are what they are, and it would seem they are integral in the fight to protect mankind from other problems. I will now regard Vultures with a lot more appreciation, thanks to you!

They surprised me, too, Alexis. Although we don't have them in England, we do have buzzards, but they aren't the same. Thank you so very much for the golden star, my friend, and the lovely review. I'm nearly at the end now. Four more to do. Sending you a big warm hug my friend, and much love. Sandra xxxx

Hello Sandra Mitchell,
V is for Vulture - Nice piece in continuation having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, impressive Verse + Prose Style, captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and transparently depicting the characteristics of different kinds of vultures.
Pictures enhance depth and beauty of the theme.
'Summary' in the end is particularly noteworthy.
Marvelous!

Thank you so very much for your amazing review and all the stars, RP! I'm delighted you enjoyed reading about these vultures, they are one creature I hadn't thought about much, but after researching them I came to realise their worth in this world. Now I know more about vultures than I did 5 mins ago. It's funny how every creature is put upon this earth for a reason but must if us don't know much about creatures in the wild.

Thank you so much for the six stars and lovely review, Blondie, I do appreciate your kind words. Yes, since starting this ABC project I've discovered so much about each creature and what part they play in our ecosystem. We are all here for a reason, including the animals. Thank you again, and have a wonderful day. :)) Sandra xx

LOL! "We all hate bad hair days!" Hahahaha!

Wow, I had no idea that the vulture population has been so decimated. 95% of the white-rumped? The California condor? We DO need them! Scary.

This is marvelous, Sandra, as always!

Bless your heart, dear Dawn, thank you so much for the six shiny stars, and the lovely review. I'm glad you enoyed my bit of fun, lol. The California condor are in even more peril because of the fires. It's so sad how many more of God's creatures will be lost to us through this tragedy.
Thank you, my dear friend. Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, don't change your mind about them...the pictures are deceiving...

OK!!! story time...the place my mom and dad lived on...
the swamp...you saw them all the time...I was standing in the front yard there one day...I saw must of been 12 or more of them flying in circles in the sky...I showed my dad...and he said they were vultures...someone skinned a deer...or shot a gator...I was leaning on the side for it to be the gator...well we were going to go to town...you know...pack a lunch...bring plenty to drink...well!!! on the way there we saw them chowing down on the side of the road...and trust me...it's not a pretty sight...what a bunch of ugly's they are...I tell you...I think one of them was licking his beck when he looked up at me...must of thought my freckles were cookies...I told dad to floor it...not on my top ten of birds I favor...but at least they have steady jobs...

but leave it to Graham to put a smile on their face...
I would love to see him trying to draw some of these creators...LOL...he's soooo sweet...thank him for all of us for his beautiful artwork...

there are a lot of critters out there my wonderful friend...that I wonder what their purposes are in the world...but the vultures is quit clear...they are garbage disposals...and we do need them...

this was very interesting you...there are more species of them than I knew of...as always notes and story, poem...very well written...pictures great...and Graham's perfect...much love to you and Graham...hugs all around....Linda xxoo say Hi to Ian for me...I hope he has been doing well...all are in my prayers...xxoo

I'm sure I would have messed my pants had I seen that. Some reviewers on here love them! We don't have any vultures in England, we have some buzzards, but they aren't the same as yours. We have pretty ones with curly hair and big smiles!!!! LOL

Thank you so much for this really funny review, dear, sweet, friend, and a kingsize hug for the six! Love you lots, my friend. :) Sandra xxxx

How is storm Laura? Is it going to hit where you are? I'm praying hard that it won't. xxxx
reply by l.raven on 27-Aug-2020
well your prayers were answered...it missed us by a minute...because it was wrapped so tight...it didn't have wide spread feeder bans...it hit Lake Charles hard...I feel so bad for those people who felt it...came in as a 4...180 mph winds...

well off to help clean a truck amazing you...and you are always so welcome...and always in my prayers...muchhhhhh love...xxoo

How foolish to hate and harm animals put on earth by God to clean up that which man is loathe to touch. There are some animals that bring disease and are loathsome to be around such as garbage consuming rats, and other animals that sometimes invade our spaces, presenting the danger of contamination and infestation, but the buzzards keep their distance from man for the most part and should not be harmed or molested by man. Certainly not killed.

It certainly is, Nomi. God has a purpose for us all, be it humans, or the creatures He put on Earth. Unfortunately, many think it's sport just to kill. The vulture is very important, and won't attack us.
Thank you so much for another lovely review, my friend. I'm delighted you understand, some don't. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xx

Vultures are scary birds but very useful for cleaning up the dead. I never knew why they have been conceived bold, but know thanks to you I know: "Nature knows what each of us needs to survive, and for vultures, it is a bald head and neck so that they can push their head right inside the carcass without worrying about getting their feathers messed up! Who of us would disagree with this? We all hate bad hair days! The only thing they have to do is have a quick clean-up once they've finished their meal." Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

What a great idea for your grandson! I love educational activities. Very thorough and well-informed; I did not know that's where the name 'vulture' came from!
The Ruppell's Griffin looks like the ones from The Jungle Book :)
