Your description of the stroke that is affecting Lew is well-handled. I wonder if he will be found before he passes away.

Just a couple of minor glitches:
my right-hand shakes - delete hyphen

I make it two steps to the desk dragging my left side - comma needed after 'desk'

Not only do my toes curl, but my left ankle and foot curves inward - should be 'curve inward'

I hope you and yours are able to stay safe from COVID. We are very lucky in Western Australia and are virtually back to normal.
Best wishes
Judy

I have not read the previous chapters but I sensed at the first that this was some kind of religious cult that was being dealt with, I was a victim of religious abuse so it drew me in. I am not sure what was happening at the end but the writing is good.

Oh, I am sad to read the end will come for Lew and his efforts to make the world a better place. I have enjoyed the story very much, Mike. He did a wonderful job helping those in need. His journey is almost over. Tell us more. Well done. Nancy. :>)

I thought this was a super chapter, well worth the wait. Your descriptions of the stroke that claims Lew is so full of detail, we feel the pain he is in, we feel his fingers and arms curling up, we feel him rolling off the couch and falling to the floor and we see the hazy light around him forming heavenly and then earthly scenes. The feeling of physically present through his last hours is really strong. Through it all Lew hangs onto his faith, and the presence of the Lord in his last moments is a great testament to that faith and the committment of God to be with us no matter what, even to the end of our lives. I thought the end was superb where Kathy begins to realize from the evidence that Lew has had a stroke and we feel that emotional sense of loss in her. There's plenty of emotion, plenty of faith, plenty of hope and pain here. A great job with this final chapter. Good luck with it. Try Westbow press. estory

This is a great story telling in detail how Lew is thinking, feeling and reacting to his present condition. It is very well written and is intriguing.

This is a very interesting story but I'd missed part of it. I see that Lew is doing work that God has for him to do in spite of the fact aht he has a horrible tumor or physical condition that is turing his body into something that well no longer work. I think because of the condition his brain as revealed thing that only he can know. There is an invisible presence that steps in and helps him when he is unable to help himself. I hope to read more and understand it better.

I can remember Lew. He had the power to hear from God, because he has a tumour in his head. I would normally have theological questions but, who knows? There is phenomena out there we cannot answer, one can never question God. He does what He does. I love being in the mind of Lew, dealing with pride, as he tries to make it on his own, well done Mike, blessings, Roy

This is well written but certainly sad. I did note a typo you might want to fix. You typed, "HAS the tentacles grow." Maybe "AS the tentacles grow." You possible left out a word. "If this the end." Maybe "If this IS the end." Otherwise, nicely done.

A very touching chapter of this remarkable story of Lew and the process of dying, fully consciously having a stroke, but helped by the Lord tho hide like a wounded animal in a dark place, so Kathy won't be frightened.
Wonderful writing and a beautiful testimony of God's love.
