Hello VICTORTOUCHE,
I pray you are doing well. I like you photo of the bold colorful clown. I like you clever message. I am an artist and know that your message is true. I have heard people say different things about my paintings. Lots of individual assessments. So true, a painting will not speak back to you. I like Stephen King and his various movies. Nicely done poem. Happy future writing:-)

A creative and clever poem. I never thought of that but you are absolutely right. Paintings do speak to us but they can't talk back. My husband and one daughter love Stephen King.

Well done.
Blessings
Janet

Hi Victor, I actually found this poem to be quite funny. You started out writing something and ended up with something totally different. Happens to me all the time. Ulla:))

This was an interesting piece to read and I can imagine that many will think about it in a different away. I think whenever we look at pieces of art we always look for deeper meanings that aren't always necessarily there. A well written piece.

Doug,
Yes this is true. A painting or other kind of art can touch your heart without the need for real words. The way the clown is painted makes him look confused, just like we are by the words.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

When we think of Stephen King, we think "Eerie." So the poem evokes just that eerieness by its title. I was an extra in 'It' and its sequence, so I know of the essence here. The painting adds to the aura.

You were an "extra?" Extraordinary, in my opinion.

The author's words are interesting, clear, and creative. I found this poem
to convey the power of art. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is perfect and compliments the theme of this poem.

That's interesting, Victor. There can be no conversation between the painter and the reviewer. No ideas tossed back and forth. It's a one-time statement that's observed by the reviewer. A different reviewer might take away something totally different. It might be the eyes, the mouth, the scenery. One of my favorite paintings is "The Scream". That work says a lot, and leaves the reviewer wondering what could possibly be so wrong in this person's life. They're in torture. Yet 2 men walking away are engulfed in conversation, oblivious to this man's turmoil a mere 50 feet away.
I suppose the same thing could be said for a poem.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it.
Cheers,
Kimbob

I'm b a c k! Lol!
I don't like scary and don't watch scary and your clown isn't too scary despite some of your reviews. (Not that I snoop, but I do.) As always you give food for thought. I love the poem for that reason. It made me space out thinking about how paintings speak to you but don't talk back, like my grandfather giving me the evil eye without saying a word. I see me in that painting putting my lipstick on thicker and farther after every drink thinking I look prettier and prettier then lighting up a smoke thinking I'm too cool. She's red queen to me. Love her, Lol! Look out Doug my brain is coming back to life after 3 1/2 months of IV treatments, 1 month to go, so I joined FS again to try my hand again, maybe.
Nice work all the way around. Love that you're poems have your art work, I love studying the art to see your soul. Don't be so impatient!
XO
Vicki
