Victor,
A cleverly written poem. There are truth in your
words. Art speaks to our senses and leaves us
inspired. well done.
Peace,

Thank you.

This short poem is long on contemplation by the reader. As a digital artist, I can understand how the work that is done took a detour from the original intent of what it was supposed to be and what message will finally come across. I enjoyed your posting very much!

And stranger still, it tells a different story to all it speaks to. I wonder why that is? Some 'art' is so awful, I could put my great grandchild's picture up in the gallery, and say it was art. Who could dispute it if it's pinned between some of those abstracts? :)) Your poem gave us something to ponder on. Well done. Sandra xx

Yes, I agree. I almost NEVER started painting since I flunked every required art class in my life. Can't draw stick figures. However, abstract has saved me. LOL

I wonder if we went to the same art classes!! Lol. :))

This is an interesting write and I have to say, I have often wondered at the art and it's critics and what people see or don't see in certain pieces. Good write.

This poem, Pennywise, may sum up the reaction a painting has as it realizes what it should be and what it is. Art speaks to us, but we may not want to hear what it has to say.

This is true, Bill. Thank you.

Punny paradox--painting speaks but doesn't talk. Delightfully oxymoronic. Nice bit of whimsy with the artwork and the footnote. I don't get the Stephen King reference, but no matter. Cheers. LIZ

IT, or Pennywise is the clown in Stephen King's "IT." I must say the painting reminds me of that clown.

You're a wonderful poet and an artist my friend, you don't need the painting to talk back when it gives you that sense of accomplishment/satisfaction.

Oh so true, a painting does speak to us but I'm not sure about it talking back. I have seen some painting that left a lasting impression that was hard to get out of my mind. LOL

Your short poem is cleverly written and I enjoyed reading it. Your artwork choice goes well with your concept of a painting speaking out with its image, but not talking back with words. I like it very much. Best wishes!
