I am not not knowledgedable of the sonnet rhymings. But I was taken by this picture that you created from other Gppg;e pictures. The lines are somewhat tumoultous, but it reflects a vivid imagination.

Dear Dragon, you should be getting an extra five stars for your construction of your modern Poseidon.
As for your post, I thought the humor well done!
Poseidon may be eating pizza and wearing spandex, but his nature has not changed yet.

Thank you for the excellent review, Suzanna. I actually like to play with my art program as much as I like playing with words. I dearly appreciate the gracious stars and humorous comments. I'm glad you liked this silly piece and my art work. Hope you have a great weekend.

Your poem deserves a six because it is the first poem I have ever read where a shark devours a pizza delivery guy. This is hilarious and you have created a mini movie in poetic form. Your rhyming of words adds to the strength of the poem, excellent use of words.

Wow, thank you so much for the fantastic review and giant sixer, Mermaids. Yeah, I don't think I've read one where a giant shark eats a delivery boy either. I really appreciate the gracious rating and kind comments. I'm glad you liked this ridiculous piece. I hope you have an awesome weekend and thank you again.

Oh, my, this is wickedly amusing. Placing an ancient god on a beach receiving a pizza and arguing with the delivery man--such a clever idea, well executed in a skillfully written sonnet.

I think I would have let him have is free pizza. I think Poseidon did it on purpose, ordering a pizza to a spot nobody could have delivered to in thirty minutes. What a jerk, but I still would have let him have it. LOL Good luck in the contest.

lol Yeah, you're the only one that mentioned that. He knew it would take longer than 30 minutes to get it out to the beach. He gets lots of free pizzas that way. lol Thank you for the great review, Cindy. I really appreciate the gracious stars and good luck wishes. I'm glad you liked my silly sonnet. Have yourself a wonderful weekend.

Ha what an interesting poem. I have to say I quite enjoyed it even though it's a bit odd, it's funny and I can imagine a shark jumping out and eating him as Poseidon's command although I doubt he would hear Poseidon's voice calling to him if a shark was dragging him into the sea. Just my point Of view. Thanks for sharing this

A very well-written sonnet with a little bit of humor about Poseidon ordering pizza on the beach and refuse to pay the pizza boy and then feeds him to the shark. The artwork is also amazingly done .

This certainly is not your everyday sonnet, but it was fun to read. I like the way you characterize Poseidon. I would never have thought of him liking pizza, but I can see how he would be cheap enough to demand a free one when the guy did not turn up on time. And we all know how vindictive he can be! The meter is flawless and your rhyme scheme is perfect. Rod
