So far, this is one of the better haikus I've read. Usually, I find them sort of handicapped because of their length. Good job!

i have tried to review two of your works and everytime I hit ok the webiste freezes. I really like this one better than other haiku released, but I am not sure I understand your reference to flow genes for life. . .i am the biologist here, but pretty dense with this ressonating in my hear. :) Nice work despite my inept mind. something about your words here affected me, which is likely the intent. i think haikus can be hard to get that kind of impact because of that short length. in particular, i believe in the second line, especially the "sky blush lights," really created feeling and visuals. it captured the poem very nicely. you take the haiku to a depth i don't see very often, and you created a very strong piece.

Haiku is definitely a hard task. I believe that you accomplished a feat. I'm not sure if you were going for Katrina, but nonetheless you embraced it in such short, yet lovely form. Whether or not this was your goal, I think that lots will be reached by your poem. Great job!
