Both form and content resonate with me! I have never attempted a "Peppered Pickle" in its original form or modified, but I hope to do so! As for pickles, well, that goes without saying! Life would be dull, indeed, sans pickles!

I think it doesn't matter to me, I use strong couplets in a previously named type if thought up, but use its method in ones I write now, it's currently onsite at the moment. A beautifully written peppered pickle, blessings, Roy

A very well-written modified peppered pickle about eating peppered pickles is enjoyable in many ways, they are tasting good, and the spices and pepper opens up the brain to have wiser conversation.

LOL! Right now my stomach is a little sensitive; you still made me want to eat a little pickle - oh the powers and the dangers if a well written piece! :)
I enjoyed the colorful, lively wording of this poem. You met the form wonderfully...and this poem is actually really sensual at the beginning! So much passion! (Maybe I should consider that the pickle is just a metaphore? Uhm... :D)
However, the second part proceed to focus on the effects on the mind...away from the senses...so, I decided to take it literally :).
Powerful writing! I very much enjoyed the banal topic presented with so much emotions!

And I changed the definition to a "Modified Peppered Pickle" at the advice of one reviewer. I wrote in the author notes that the reason I called it modified is that my main word should be one syllable, and I have 2. That this my first try at the form.

The picture is a great addition to your poem. You are right about the spiciness of the different kinds of peppers. Some of them I can tell how hot they would be to eat just by the fumes they emit from the jar. If one has any brains left, then hopefully the peppers didn't burn them all up and did help one focus with new ideas.

Thanks for the great review, Jan. It was my first try at the form, and I just found out from Dolly that my main word have 2 syllables, supposed to be just one. Well, I can't change it because it would render the whole poem null and voice. But I had great joy writing this - it was a fun form indeed. You should try it, if not already - it is very creative. Watch out for the internal rhyming, it is pretty complex. Thanks for stopping by.
