Great limerick! Says a lot about the crowd at a dance competition - proper to a fault. The picture you chose is perfect - love their expressions. I totally could see the scene unravelling (literally). Thank for sharing.

I felt happy at the end of the poem. It was a funny image to see in my head the couple dancing then he shoe catching her dress. Were they applauding for the tango or that lay under the ripped dress?

Great! It does have a bit of an unbalanced syllabic structure. I think "the crowd still applauded their tango" would read a bit better. Good luck in the competition!

A delightful limerick, funny and lighthearted. I also liked very much the accompanying photo and, more than any other, the video, with the touching tango of "blind" Al Pacino. Also the following tangos. My favorite Latin-American dance.

Hopefully the heels were nice and sharp and simply tore the dress so the dance could continue... Fandangos are supposed to be 'racy' anyway! ;) :) A fun offering for the morning - thanx for sharing! ;)

Limericks are a difficult poem-type. They have the rhymne and the meter- but they seem to need that extra creative and inspired 'bounce' when the reader reads it- I believe you have captured it. Well done.

Your limerick is of course very sweet. It reminds me of the Pacino movie that you included in your notes. The combo really dances together. Great overall presentation. Your Orlando gal was very lucky with her dance partner.
