Shades of child abuse are referenced in this short horrific poem. Who knows why murderers do what they do. Is it something that happened in childhood? This is an excellent contest entry.

Chilling, frightening, a sudden denouement at the end that stops the reader cold and invites a re-read of the poem to grasp the unintended lesson taught by a man who betrays high trust!
