A pastor of mine used to say people who claim they have no "gifts" or abilities to use for God are just making excuses, that the Scriptures make it plain that ALL have something to give/do. Your poem is a well-written, gentle challenge that speaks to this matter.

Beautiful, strong poem. Convincing too. We must stand humbly before Him and pray to be helped to overcome our weaknesses. And then, oh wonder!, we realize we do not have to be perfect, God loves us just as we are, and we can live our lives illuminated by His light and strengthened by His guidance.

Roy, This message is so true. I think that if people were not afraid of what they did not know, more people would come to Christ. People doubt themselves and therefore they doubt the Lord.
