Excellent poem dear friend. Love to meet you, one day, if you are ever in Sydney. Wondering if this refers to an thing in real life for you? No spags, great picture.

Many thanks for your supportive review, Geoffrey, and for the sixth star. Much appreciated. The way things are, it doesn't look as though we'll be visiting NSW in the near future. We have a flight booked to Brisbane at the end of September, for our grandson's first birthday, but even that is in doubt with the relentless spread of this second Covid-19 wave. All good wishes, Tony

That's a terrific poem, Tony. A joy to read. It flowed so well. It flitted just like that swallow.
Some very nice phrases,
"Time paused today"
"I inhaled the spring"
"This small domestic truth eclipsed the sun."
Your wife, perhaps, has passed recently? The day caused you to think of her, and suddenly there was this swallow, busy with household chores, moving rapidly here and there. And now she's gone. A sign maybe? She's not gone that far? And still busy, checking up on you. It was as if the earth stopped moving.
I don't know if I've got it right, but that's how I've got it figured out.
Beautiful poem! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers
Kimbob

Many thanks for your supportive review, Kimbob, and for the six stars. Much appreciated. Your interpretation of the poem is much as I intended, though it is from my imagination rather than from any specific personal tragedy. All good wishes, Tony

What a brilliant write! Simple down to earth vocabulary versed into superb phrases, "Time paused today while I inhaled the spring,"--unique/original and just beautiful; a masterpiece my friend, I thank you for the treat.

This is a lovely Rondaful, Tony. I just sighed after I read it and thought how beautifully you had put all of the pieces together. The internal rhymes are smooth and inserted cleverly ~ they do not sound forced. Lovely.

Lovely review, Dolly. The form you've created lends itself to this kind of reflective poem. I enjoyed the challenge of weaving it into shape. Thanks very much for the sixth star, too. All good wishes, Tony

Hello, Tony,

Beautiful Rondaful ... very melancholic....loss of a loved one. I like this poetic form. It sounds melodic. It made me think of a little nest over my house's front door. Well done my friend.

Beautifully written with a nostalgic feel, very touching. You made look easy to use this form, but it looks complicated to me. Well done. Love the subject.

Tony
This issue well done roundaful. It is so mournful of either a lost love or a child leaving the house. It is a good metaphor
Keep writing and stay healthy.

I loved this poem. Reflection pauses time. The bird flying away a symbol of passing time. I love symbolisms in poems. Time though as Ecclesiastes 9:11states does this: time and unexpected events overtake them all.

Excellent write, Tony. Good to see some of your poetry again. These lines alone pack such a heartfelt punch:
"and, with a sigh, I watched it disappear
beneath our roof. This small domestic truth....."

I enjoyed this, my friend. : ) Bob
