I love the rhythmic flow of your poem. The first line lost without tether is intriguing. Could love be the tether the sequestered mind needs? Isolation can indeed be fear's unknown fields.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the emotionally self-sequestered, or those of us who find the current rules against socializing a burden. In normal times, I'd believe you mean the former, but now, I'm thinking the latter. I'd find a little context helpful. To me, the two conditions are quite different.
Peace, Lee

Lost mind wanders unknown fields - this is the essence of this poem and in a way it opens a different perspective and understanding upon life and death matter. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

We all need an anchor and it usually comes from family and the need to belong and live without fear is strong, it is human nature to be together when we feel strength in numbers, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Excellent 5-7-5 poem that is quite relevant these days.
Some have more trouble than others dealing with the isolation.
Excellent wording and nice touch of alliteration.
Good choice of art work too.
Well done.
Best wishes to you.

Wow! Very powerful and amazing! Your word choice was excellent for this contest entry! Left to one's own imagination in the frightening world of "what ifs."
Best of luck in your writing!

Oh my goodness -- you are awesome, J'nea!! :) I'm pleased that you could 'imagine' based on this one... a greater compliment to a poet than just the stars! :) ;) ;) Although, let's be honest here: those stars are pretty incredible (wink, wink) -- thank you!! ;) Yvette
