You have really made excellent use of your seventeen syllables in this descriptive piece that tugs at the emotions. How awful it must be for all who have experienced this type of loss.

It is so sad when older people begin to lose their memory. They are not the only ones who lose because of this. Their families have just as much at stake when they begint o forget people that they know and love.

This is so profoudly stated about dementia and alzheimer's disease. We took care of my mom for twelve of the ladt thirteen years of her life. I am do grateful that she didn't forget me until the last 2 weeks of her life.

A very well-written 5-7-5 lost poem about a mother losing her memory and doesn't recognize the ones she loved her whole life who looks like aliens to her mind.

I've been there, your poem moved me and reminded me of my own mother. I can't imagine what it's like for them. My brother thinks that my mother was caught between this world and the next.

It's a touching poem which captures how the memories slowly fade for people having this disease. It's sad that they will aren't able to recognize their own children. Fine use of alliteration. This should do well in the prompt. Good luck!

It is very sad to see a relative slowly leave us in their mind and it is such a tragic disease to lose someone this way. I was fortunate that my Mother didn't suffer such a fate, your few words bring a tear here, love Dolly x

There's tragedy in these lines. "Memories slowly fade" in a person with Altzheimer. You packed volumes in these lines. Line three was particularly powerful. I liked your presentation and photo.

An amazing job, in its raw truth, made a deep impression on me.

I work in a nursing home and see this every day. It is heartbreaking. It is even worse right now as the patients cannot see their families due to nursing home lockdowns everywhere. Beautifully written poem, truly resonates with me.
