Hi Yvonne, I throw the last couple pieces of bread in the bag outside my front door...and carrots when I have them...
it's funny...because there is bread when I throw it at night...and in the morning...all is gone...
I love your Duodecatain poem...and will leave it to you to write them...LOL...I have enough writing a sonnet...LOL...
I love your poem sweet girl...and glad it ended with a happy ending...and your picture reminds me of a Norman Rockwell scene...very well written my sweet friend...love you...Linda xxoo

This reads very smoothly. Looks like a difficult format. Lovely presentation of the crows and their search for food in the cold weather. I'm glad they found just a bit. The humans were lucky. When they finished their chores, they could go inside where it was warm. Animals seem to have a way of providing, even in extreme conditions. They do what they have to do to survive. "Fate tips the scales" makes a great last line. So true. judi

This is just beautiful Miss Yvonne.
The picture is so pretty, and the
story in this is wonderful.
I feed my birds year-round...just in case!
Blessings...

This is a most cool form Treischel created. It flows very smoothly and with the changing from tetrametre to dimetre the form lends to more rhymes which further its cadence.
A perfect theme, and the atmosphere you created is very vivid.
Very well done, Yvonne. You aced it!

Even with your notes, I am not sure I am at all qualified to review this poem, so I'll simply tell you I enjoyed it. Your presentation, too is absolutely lovely!

There is a light feel and flow to your words. I like the image of the crows searching for food on a winter's day and at the end of your poem, food is found. You paint a clear picture here of a town and the birds. Excellent poetic form and use of words.

I loved the meter, the form and the sentiment here, a perfectly formed duodecatain which I have never come across before, but thoroughly enjoyed, well chosen words and I wish I had a six left because this deserves one, a very talented write, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thank you. The fact that you would give it a six is enough for me. Thank you so much for the great comments.
Comment from Ben Colder
Interesting concept of poetry. I was glued to the tree limb watching the crows argue with each other about who would get the seeds. LOL.
Good one poet.

I hadn't thought about that. No telling what happened when they both spotted it on the ground. hahaha. Thanks, my friend.

Hello Damommy,
I pray you are doing well during these troubling days in our world. All is well with me. I have been off line for a few days. Damommy, this is a lovely and brilliant written Duodecatain poem, "On the hunt." You met the poem's requirement and nice rhyming of your words. This is a nicely written poem. Fate always tip the tale in life. Well done. Happy future writing.

Two lonely crows high in a tree
and blanket snow is all they see. (maybe it's a personal preference but I would have gone a different route than and, if it's about the syllabic count; blanket snow is all they can see?)
Other than this small, small detail, I enjoyed the piece, I thought it was well done. Great work and thanks for sharing. Later daze.
