So true that we need faith more than ever during times of tragedy and pain. Not only do we need to know that God has incomprehensible tragedies and suffering under His control but we need His comfort and closeness.

Thank you so much. I work in a nursing home, with coworkers consisting of nurses and aides of all ages. Sometimes the subject of God comes up, probably because of the nature of our work. I?ve made an interesting discovery. I am 62. Almost every person in my age group that I have discussed this with has a firm belief in some type of God. Those in their 20s, for the most part, have no belief at all. I asked the younger ones if they had ever had any great tragedy or pain In their lives. None of them had. It just made me wonder if people who don?t have great loss or pain never needed to lean on someone or something greater than themselves. Personally, I have had a lot of terrible loss. There were times that if I did not have God to turn to, I would have been lost. But those young people will need help someday, and I hope they can find it. And while it is not based on Covid, it is Covid that made me think of people without emotional support, ill in a hospital room where they cannot have visitors. If it were me, I would be talking to God and would not feel quite as alone. Does this make sense to you?

Yes, of course. Children are taught about God because their belief will be based on what they see afterwards. Parents and adults would model God before them, and over time, a personal relationship with God may occur. Without this modeling and continued association with others who believe, how can or why should anyone accept a notion like God.

I hear in this piece that those that do not have faith to believe just have not been put in a situation where they had to trust in that which they could not see. I am in that place now. I am waiting and hoping, and praying for the best result. There is nothing more I can do but wait and see the outcome.

YyThat is exactly what I meant. I have had to many times in the last 14 yrs. that is why my faith strong. God bless and I hope things work out.

A very well-written 5-7-5 faith poem. Anyone who still have no faith should start to consider and find out what it is all about. Faith in God will leads us onto the path of eternity.

Personally, I wonder that the expressive tone suggests impatient waiting for tragedy to befall others if they don't find God--- quick.

Never impatient for something tragic to happen to ANYONE. I don?t think I should have entered this in a contest with so few syllables allowed. I meant that even though nothing tragic has happened to you, something will someday, because no one gets through life without some type of painful loss. My tone was meant to find something bigger and better than yourself to lean on. Does that make sense?

In the last 14 years, I have had several huge tragedies. I was so glad I was close to God during that time.I was trying to let people know to find Him now, so they can count on Him when they really need Him. Maybe some people have not gone through anything that has made them reach for help.
