Haha, but it was fun to read. I laughed along about the oatmeal filing system. These characters seem to be rejects from a horror movie--mainly because they haven't a clue.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

This was quite a humorous piece. I loved the description of the novel's plot and the idea that the creative writing was hidden in an empty oatmeal box. The shows good creativity.

Bill,
I read a story earlier about eating wild mushrooms. I'm thinking you may have been doing some of the same? I'm not sure I can explain this any other way.
It's bizarre and yet compelling. Freaky and yet... intriguing. It definitely held my interest the whole time. Thanks and good luck!

This was odd to say the very least. I can see it being filed away in the oatmeal bin also. Not sure what the Kanakankan is. Good luck in the contest.

A Great dialogue exercise here, Bill. Pretty unique names too.
This is worth the price of admission alone, my friend:
"I will place these stories back, get my boa constrictor, and meet you by the mine field."
Damn you're good you. LOL :) Bob

Great lines and filled with humor. My favorites:
It is a novella.
So it is either a lazy novel or an ambitious short story.
Let me read it.
That took a couple of seconds longer than usual. Are you feeling okay?
Love the quick summary of a trite plot.

Is that Quaker Oats guy still around? I thought for sure he'd be given the ax. He's an old white guy if there ever was one. I didn't know the oatmeal box contained such interesting story. That plot might work for a slasher movie. There hasn't been one with a woman, that I know of, so why not? Goat eyes with sauce? Not very appetizing at all. This has all the elements for a Dialogue Only story. Snappy dialogue and strong ending. Best of luck. judi

Eeeek. Goat eyes and sauce. Who are these people going through the hidden writings??? They sound like demons. The boa constrictor being in the house is frightening enough, but these characters are definitely creepy. Good luck in the contest.
