A great suspenseful tale with a fabulous moral at the end. It would be interesting to see how others might respond to the Teddies in their classrooms. Can the Teddies of the world be helped? Can they be blamed for responding to violence with violence when those in authority do nothing? An excellent read. Thank you

Very effective surprise ending. I just wonder if such an introverted boy would stand and talk so much. A frustrated person that has it stuffed inside usually just blows up. Teachers of experience know that kids aren't "evil to the core' -just terrribly lost and acting out that pain. The consequence was effective to Jake.

Very well written. The reality of being bullied and what can occur when someone is pushed to their limit can be a terrifying thing. This was a great cautionary tale.

I'm so sorry i don't have a 6 left for your powerful story. I put myself through the horror of reading your well-crafted story and was profoundly moved. These stories are played out too often in real life in America; your authentic characters had me gripped throughout. Themes of fear, powerlessness and the revenge of warped justice against a bully were strongly detailed.

Its a powerful story that puts us right in the classroom for this revenge shooting, and the speech by the bullied kid, Teddy, really reveals his frustrations at having been shoved to the outside and tortured for years. But it also shows us Jake, confronted with death, finally realizing in this terrifying moment, that he will pay the price for bullying Teddy. The fear there in the white lips is vivid. Attention to detail and a carefully scripted speech that delves into reasons behind the shooting deepens this scene and electrifies it. It's controversial maybe, but these kinds of stories raise questions that need to be raised about human nature, society and forgiveness. estory

There's one thing about the COVID, no bullying at school. It's a handed-down curse through many generations. What a detail-rich description of Teddy's revenge that should have been stopped. I was going to put one in this contest, but after reading this story, I'm glad I didn't. Great job!

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

Hello Lancellot,
Nice piece of Horror and Thriller Fiction having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, captivating NON-STOP flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully depicting its theme highlighting Teddy's personality plus character against Jake leading to climax in the last paragraph.

This is the best horror story I have ever heard or read simply because there is raw truth here. Bullying destroys many who suffer through it. They break, retaliate, and wreak vengeance upon the bully. Too many kids die.

Dear Lancelot, this story is truly horrifying, From the third paragraph on, I was griped in the clutches of impending doom!
Already, this reviewer could tell that Teddy had been victimized by a cadre of bullies. Confrontation was bound to come, and it did.
From Teddy 's first words to the end, a horrifying tale.

Wow! Your story held me captive from the very beginning. I began to have a good idea of what was going to happen, but that didn't keep me from finishing the read. I am not ashamed to say that I cried at the end. I was bullied the whole time I was in school, so I can relate to Teddy. I also don't advocate or condone school violence, but so many kids feel the way Teddy did. Thank you so much for sharing.
