Lisa, I am assuming that during your world travels you actually saw the Parthenon. I've only seen pictures like this one. Good use of alliteration in the poem and your title. I also like the allusion to "classical" math. Rod

A very eloquent presentation. The photo is superlative and the words fit nicely. What history there is in Europe! The architecture is stellar and keeps us in awe each time we observe another masterpiece.

Thank you for the picture and for your words. Amazing. You have described in mathematical words something so perfect in only 15 syllables. I like your word choice, a marvelous think as well. Remarkable work.

Talk about architecture, eh? I think I'd like to visit Greece someday, Lisa. Not many places I'd like to see... maybe Doc Martin's little village of Portwenn (Port Isaac) in North Cornwall, on the western coast of England. And maybe the foothills of the Rocky Mountains someday, in Alberta.
I like your alliteration here, "Parthenon pillars/perfect proportions", and your 3-syllable words, "Parthenon/classical/proportions". 15 syllables exactly. Do we build anything today that comes close?
Good Luck in the contest!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Excellent use of P alliteration in this short space! You capture the beauty of this ancient Greek structure really well. It's surprising how the architecture even in those days was so advanced. Those structures still stand tall. Good luck!

Thanks for your comments - i was aiming for a suggestion of symmetry, so it pleased me that you mentioned the poem's proportions.
