This is amazing. This should be turned into a book and sold in many stores for the kids. I loved the poem! I felt the information about the quail was very informative and I learned more about quails than I ever did.
I hope I see your book in shelves soon.

It's always a joy to learn just how little I truly know about the animals you write about, and the few I've never even heard of before. I just can't help but think how nice it will be for your grandson to look back as he reads the book you wrote for him throughout his life. Thanks for sharing.

Another biology lesson made easy to digest, but not like the quail itself. I'm not so sure why so many people would hunt quails when it takes so much effort to eat one. Or two, which is what I was served in a restaurant. Looking forward to R!

So many people like to hunt and eat quail, and to think that it's poisonous. Good on those quail! They're so lovely. Maybe someday people will get the hint and stop eating these beautiful birds.
Also, to think that they nest on the ground. I'm sadly thinking of how many people have stepped on those nests and the eggs within simply because they were so self-absorbed that they weren't paying attention.

I never thought of people stepping on their nests, that must happen a lot! I hope they stop eating them, they are so sweet natured and live as a family. I'm going to add a bit to the end of this piece. Another reviewer suggested it so the young readers could stop and have a think about saving them as they grow up. A more uncommon animal this week! I will be sad when you are finished this series, I find the facts very interesting and the poems themselves. It's sad they are at risk of going extinct. I wish people would leave animals alone! I bet Eric will love this one.
