I love fantasy poetry and it is a treat to come across your poem. Your words take the reader to another place, full of magic and magical beings.I admire how your second and fourth lines rhyme, it adds to the mystical feel of your words.

This is an awesome continuation for your fantasy book, Yvonne. I loved reading it. From first seeing the perfect picture to the last word, I was engaged. Your words flow smoothly with great rhymes and beautiful imagery. Your use of alliteration works well, too. I could see, hear, and feel everything as the woman is waiting for the one with the music to reappear. You are very talented with writing in this genre among others like nature, animals, and children's stories. I look forward, always, to your writing. Thanks for sharing.

This is an awesome continuation for your fantasy book, Yvonne. I loved reading it. From first seeing the perfect picture to the last word, I was engaged. Loved your gorgeous poem and it is full of internal rhymes and the meter is so soothing. And I can imagine waiting in the forest for that magical person to bring his music.

Hi, Yvonne. Very nicely done from beginning to the last line:
"drifts to this spot where once the piper played."
I notice you are very selective with your verbs, like "drifts" instead of a weaker "floats"
I especially noted these lines too:
"If wait I must, I'll wait forever here
for that sweet tune I know so very well,
the one upon my captured heart did sear."
