This is excellent, and I'm glad they have some of the guys in custody. Now they need to find the big wheel behind it, and maybe they'll start talking. Excellent work with the characterization. Now they need to find how who owns the black SUV. Excellent chapter. One thing is was wondering--If Mac is to take a shower, it seems that would be in the hands of the hospital personnel. judi

You're very welcome. When I was in the nursing home for hip replacement therapy, everything was very closely supervised--even showers. judi

I am following this book now for some chapters. It stays good, believable and has a lot of action. Well-written dialogs, very real person-description. The cops seem real cops and their wives are good too.
Everybody is so concerned about MacKenzie! Good idea that shower.
I do hope they find the culprits soon!

Another great chapter. Your writing is excellent. You do a great job show how caring your characters are. Some things to consider though.

{He's} absence will cause his gang to worry about what he's saying.
- should this be: His
"I have permission to remove the IV's. The shower's a go. I'll replace them afterward." He carefully removed the IV and flushed the line. "Okay, Mac, you ready?"
- Are you sure this would happen in America. I mean the liability alone would never allow a Dr or nurse to ok a civilian to remove and restart an IV. They would do it if need be.

An emotional chapter when we see how badly Mackenzie was beaten. Poor thing. The fact that she has so many around her, gives us hope for healing and for justice. A fine addition for you book, dear Barbara.

This chapter brought to mind just how much better something as simple as a shower can make us feel. Of course, I must admit, all the time I was expecting some kind of confrontational assault while they were at a disadvantage. Thanks for sharing.

This is is a very nicely written chapter. Reading it is almost like being in the hospital room with Mac. It sound like you have most of the gang rounded up. I am enjoying the story.
