Shouldn't that be MAKE?

certainly not any bigwigs" In high school, the snobs put dimes in their penny loafers like we were supposed to be impressed? Love the poem. Love the memory.

wait a minute, i remember i had them too and proudly wore them. This is a cute piece done in rondeau style, and brings back memories of times past and these rate with black and white loafers

Dear Buddy, outside of having to resort to a line like :
"while hearing the flying pig squealS ," )which kind of throws me for a loop) If you would be willing to change to word to just plain "squeal," it would rhyme better with
"real." ( and I could live with a flying pig. )

I wore black penny loafers in high school and even went off to college in them. I polished and shined them every night before going to bed. Good old rugged shoes. I put a shiny dime in mine...

Bill, I even had penny loafers when I was a young girl. I love that they're soft and comfortable! I like your appropriate photo and your lovely poem. I rsoecially like your use of "prigs," and "big wigs" to make your work really colorful. I noticed one small error: it should read TOO fast a pace, not to in this case.
Otherwise, it's an excellent poem.
