What a vivid pastoral poem written in fine metre and rhyme.
You have used excellent literary devices to draw your reader right into this scene, and when the much prayed for rain finally arrived all was right again.
Excellent entry into this contest celebrating FanStory's 20th anniversary and I wish you much luck in the booth.

Farmers are such cheerful, pleasant people! I love that this poem savors the clouds and the rain, and the crops and the relationships. It's all in there. I liked the artwork as well. Good job!

No farm background here, although years ago, I did visit one or two as a tourist. But city folks sometimes like rain, so we do have something in common occasionally. :)

So beautifully penned and one I can relate to through my mother. She lived on a farm all her life. She had many stories to tell and lived through The Great Depression. I enjoyed this so much and your rich descriptions of farm life.
