I like this. The rhymes are very loose, though. A lot of these rhymes barely work or don't work. It's a great bit of imagery, though. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your review, Amanda, and for your comments. Slant rhyme and consonance are fairly well established poetic techniques. You will find plenty of examples in the poetry of Emily Dickinson, Gerard Manley Hopkins and W.B Yeats—and it is rife in modern-day hip-hop.

A thought provoking poem for this thought provoking time. I loved the artwork and presentation. You take the reader on an unusual journey.
Great rhyme and good use of alliteration.
Well done.
Blessings and stay well.

Thanks very much for this review, Janet. So much better to provoke thought than to provoke anger, the more common occurrence these days!

This is a vividly descriptive, thought-provoking poem. You have made effective use paradoxical images--journey on boat with no oars; no winds, but full sails. If that were my journey, that voice would be God's. I can't speak for anyone else. :-)

Your poem reads well. I like the image and the color scheme--great choices for the 'unknown'. Your lines flow smoothly with great rhymes and imagery. I agree.. it is all still unknown. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Awe, Tony what a delightful poem you have written. You are on a journey that knows no bounds, and takes you places you've only ever dreamt of. I think most of us have those dreams now and again. Such a joy to read.
I've been thinking about your book. Are you ready to publish soon?
All best. Ulla:)))

Thanks very much for your review, Ulla. I appreciate your comments. I've been through the novel with a laser eye, cutting and polishing until I'm heartily sick of it! There are some major failings in the story arc and in the development of character, and I am trying to sum up the energy and courage to attack them! I may just content myself with self-publishing the damned thing as it is. Best wishes, Tony

Oh dear, I think I can imagine what you're up against. But You can do it!!. It's such a wonderful story and you've created some wonderful characters. I really hope you'll make it. The book deserves it. And you've created it. Ulla:)))

Thanks, Ulla. Just the sort of encouragement I need! I shall press on!

Tony,
Your poem travels with smooth rhyming and vivid
imagery. The reader can feel the movement of traveling
through the space, destination unknown.
Peace,
Richie

My belief is if we're journeying to the stars it is toward heaven. You're poems always cause me to reflect and that's a good thing, it stretches my mind and imagination. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks very much for your review, Barbara. I appreciate your comments. I think most people seem to be of that opinion, but there are some, I feel sure, who would be driven mad by the silence and enormity of the heavens! Best wishes, Tony

This is a very well-written, interesting piece. Your great word choice draws people as it paints a vivid picture in the reader's mind. Makes us feel like we're taking the journey with you. Nicely done.

Cohesive throughout. A great read into the visible unknown. No faltering of energy taking the reader on your mind quest. The stars must be magnificent where you live.
