I love the image of this journey you take in your small boat into the sea of the unknown. I love your word pictures of silk caress, fractal space, and crystal shower. I felt myself traveling with you!

Nice command of the musical and rhythmic effects in this traditional piece, and I found the ambiguity in the images really interesting. You create this impressionistic view of life and the afterlife here, in this voice that escapes deffinition. We don't know if it's God or the devil, if we are in heaven, or hell. A great comment on the human experience in general, I think. estory

Thanks very much for these comments, estory—especially the ones about the musicality and rhythm. I think we quite often confuse heaven and hell!

Such a beautiful journey can only lead to heaven. Your words paint a very descriptive and lovely picture of a trip into the unknown. I could see it all in my minds eye. Thanks for sharing.

or is it what we fear to be, where we cannot see? or expect that life is just a fantasy? so many questions in ones mind, that sorrow overcomes the truth that none will be answered.

Hi Tony,
Excellent quatrain poem. I enjoyed the journey from the mind, I do that often. I like the assonance technique you use in the poem and the way you worked in the slant rimes in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quatrains. The poem takes us with it along for the trip of wonder!
Peace be with you,
Urial

Good presentation. The poem is good. It is nice to fantasize sometimes. I would have added a bigger pause after "a journey of a" pause different kind. But it works good as is. But when I read it I added the pause for effect.

Outstnding poetry, Tony. I like everything about it. It gave me the sense of floating into the great starlit beyond. Especially this part:
"Most musical; a small, sweet noise."
Wonderful write, my friend. :) Bob
