All of a sudden it's Tuesday, and I hadn't reviewed your beautiful poem, Tony. I'm not sure I'd like to be wondering if it was Heaven of Hell I was heading towards, I'd like certainty, Heaven, please!! Lol. That picture is so amazing, and goes with this poem delightfully. I would love to be able to be on that boat and have its sails billow to take me among the stars. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I often get that feeling these days! What on earth happened to Sunday and Monday? I must have been daydreaming among the stars! LOL

This small boat takes me on a journey, but not only with the insight of how we are minnows to the universe, but also the humbleness within the recognition of its power , magnitude and beauty....with that 'little noise' that, in fact, has much significance.
Beautiful little write.
My best Tony.

I always appreciate your reviews, RG. These are kind words indeed. I am delighted that you considered this little poem worthy of a sixth star. All good wishes, Tony

Dear Tony, I am not sure if I should give this poem five stars or six! It gave me a ride to someplace 'way out there' to be sure. And made me aware of how limited my vocabulary is. I had to look up the word 'fractal.'
The illustration is suitably eerie. Is it Heaven or is it Hell. What a parting shot.

A very different kind of journey! But an enjoyable one through space. I could see your sails billow without wind. The calm is comforting and I like the crystal shower too, Great job!

And thank you for sharing that poem. It was refreshing!
Comment from Gloria ....
Yikes, well talk about leaving the journey open for interpretation. But I guess that's what happens when on is an astral traveler.
A great good read with superb metre and fresh and surprising rhymes.
I like this a lot, Tony. :)

The imagery suggests it can be hell( boat with no oars, no wind, darkness driven, fractal space,, wordless)
Or it could be heaven (journey to the stars, silk caress, crystal shower, musical voice, sweet noise)
Perhaps the answer lies in the reader's mind depending upon his/her outlook on life.

Thanks very much for your review, Shari. Kind of you to drop by. Yes, all in the mind of the reader. Most people have gone for heaven, but I'm not so sure! Best wishes, Tony

Hmm.... what did you have for dinner? You're in a gravy boat, out of your mind; thank goodness there is no wind involved... or maybe there was: the reverberations after the small, sweet noise.
Seriously... You have portrayed a dreamscape of astral travelling, even perhaps beyond life itself, to realms "beyond life's care". Even within the void there is science, art, and music... and is that good or bad, heaven or hell? The question will always be rhetorical.
I like the imagery and rhythm of your dreamy poem, carrying me along thinking all is lovely, then having to think about whether it could actually be hell.

Thanks very much for your review, LisaMay, which gave me a good laugh! Kind of you to drop by. Being becalmed in outer space with strange voices in the background sounds like hell to me! Best wishes, Tony

Hello Tony,
A wonderful Odyssey through dark space or the midnight mind.
It seems there are space sirens to rival Circe,
or perhaps my mind simply goes to strange places.
Love the poetics, and the splendid slant rhymes.
As atmospheric as a poem is likely to get.
My sails are set, my compass points to he...
Six stars.

A potted Odyssey, perhaps. Dear old Homer did go on a bit. I appreciate your affirming comments and stars almost as much as your he—sitation!

Wow. I was lulled by the serenity of the poem and the lyrical nature of the language and meter. It felt so safe and alluring--until that last line. Now that is something to read again, and to ponder how easily one can be led away.
