Your lines about "lines" are quite though-provoking. I liked the touch of satire you have included here. Each stanza seems like a snippet on its own. Fine use of rhyming makes the flow smooth. I enjoyed reading it.

Thank you very much. I was glad that you noticed the smooth flow due to the rhyming. Keep safe. Linda

That was really interesting, Linda. You don't realise how many types of lines there are until you read something as clever as your poem. There was no chance of it becoming boring, either, so you needn't have worried. Well done, I really enjoyed reading your poem. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Linda,
I pray you are having a great day. This is a great poem of all the lines you can see in your life in one day. I love the photo of the power lines you used to reflect your message of lines. Nice rhyming of your end words. Enjoyable read from beginning to the end. Well-done. Happy writing:-)

Blessings Linda, such a wonderful way you've chosen to pen so many descriptive lines about the many lines you've noticed that surround us in our daily lives. It got me thinking of so many others things that we sometimes don't think of as lines but are; the silver cord of life, Jacob's ladder or stairway to heaven or as (Isaiah 28:10) says, " For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little." Lines, Lines, Everywhere Lines! LOL!

You did something pretty awesome with those many many lines! I wish I had a six star left for you! I love the cohesive elements in the poem - she proceeding through her day - encountering many lines - and the word 'line' showing up every single time at the end of the stanza. They rang like an echo- it became something like a deja-vu. It's very rare to see something technically so impactful in a longer poem like this.
Meanwhile, with the imagery was very multi-faceted, and both emotionally engaging and slightly detached.
Awesome writing!
It totally want to make me attempt something similar with a different word - but it also seems like too much work for now!
Again, excellent writing! Virtual six!

Never boring. So many lines surrounding us that we never give a thought to. In the poem you depict the lines popping up almost every five minutes when we're in a car. Then again inside. Well done. I enjoyed reading.

Hello Linda!
How I wish I had six stars to affix to your exceptionally well-crafted and perceptive poem.
In my world, poetry is the result of observing the world, the good, the bad, the ugly, the mundane, etc. and reacting to it in poetic form.
I loved every morsel, and you can be certain I will be looking at lines from now on!
Thank you for sharing!

Hello, Linda,
What a unique poem about lines :) It almost sounded like a song from the sixties. "Signs" is a song by the Canadian rock group Five Man Electrical Band. Well done, my friend.

Yes, Gypsy, I was a teen in the 60's and as I wrote this poem, I was singing the 'Signs' song. Thank you for reading and commenting. Linda
Comment from Amanda Louise Davis
I like this poem. I like all the different kinds of lines you thought of. I would just call the poem 'Lines, Lines.' I think it's a very unnecessarily long title.
