This is a well done tyburn that gives clear description and images of a farmer's/rancher's life.
Good luck in the prompt contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Joan thank you, I have found this not my favorite poetic style, I need more free verse opportunities.

You're welcome. We all have our favorite forms and those we try to stay away from.

Obviously, this was written by someone who knows. Just like a crop, you have to cultivate and tend herds to produce life. A fine tyburn and entry for the contest. Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the contest,
Sally :)

This makes sense. I think of the farmer and all the work involved in getting these cattle ready to market. Lingering days...grow longer. What a tiring job. Excellent.

I'm not real keen on this style of poetry. The first four lines are just words. I guess the challenge is turning them into two lines that rhyme. Good luck in the contest.

Dear Author your Tyburn poetry met all the rules. Your theme was fine. But I do think you could improve the rhyme . I would substitute the word 'Needing' for the word 'Speeding.'
Because I lived on a ranch, I know that cattle do NEED but you do NOT want them to speed, because that would mean a stampede AND THAT, a rancher wants to avoid, at all cost.

Suzanna, the connection to Speeding is with breeding where there is a small window of time to manage the cycles of nature to increase the herd.

Dear Rancher, you have certainly educated me, so please explain this to other reviewers in your Author?s notes ! I am sure it will save you lots of time having to explain .

Wow!
Alot of work in ranching... that's probably why I don't do ranching ...I do, however, like the part about "Lingering days" - hopefully more than two a year.

This is a challenging poetic form and your words well capture the life of ranching. It goes around and around and your words convey that feeling. Leading, breeding, feeding, speeding are perfect rhyming words that capture the life of ranching.

Hello author of author who wrote that ranching is an cyclic business when it is a 'Daily chore' by-
Leading the cows
Breeding them
and Speeding (why does the rancher have so they need to speed?
Plus Feeding the cattle
Is a continuous cycle.

This is a pretty perfect description of ranching ... Lots of work, lots of reward, VERY few days off!
I've never seen this poetic form before but I do believe you nailed it. :) It looks like a good contest entry to me. Best of luck in the voting booths!
Blessings,
Deb
