So true. Today's news is only interesting for a moment and then there is the next new thing. But then, I've always thought of news as paid gossip anyway. You get just enough to be tantalizing for a moment, but not a lot of depth. You have to dig that up yourself.

Isn't that a great poem on man's life? Troubles or joys are massive today and worth little interest tomorrow. We and what interests us are of little real value to others.

Good luck with the contest G. You definitely met criteria for the 5-7-5. Very interesting picture and of course poem. I would almost suspect you either work for a newspaper company or have been exposed to such at sometime. It is so true that headlines are such today and then for a couple of days are relegated to other pages. Well done.

So true. With everything going on in the world today, it doesn't take much for a story to get bumped to the back. That's always been true but more so now than ever. That's probably why the reporters stretch the truth, give the facts a little pazazz.

Oh so true. At least in the US I wish the headlines were at least truthful. In our today's world it isn't so anymore. I remember when one could count on the news. Now it's more fake than a soap opera. Thank you for sharing and good luck.
