I finally guessed one right. They're fascinating little creatures. The scientists tried putting the mimic octopus on colored squares, as well as black and white squares. It was able to mimic both. The only thing I see wrong is the first line. It should be 'Each octopus has eight limbs.' Has and got don't belong together. It's one of the most common mistakes in the English language.

I was most interested in your remark about , has and got, and you are totally correct. Because of the syllable count and flow, it now reads.... Each octopus has eight long limbs...
I then went into Google to check out other versions of it, ie, not in poetry. Apparently, we Brits, have different grammar rules to the American, not in a wildly different way, but just the way we shape our sentences. Apart from that, it showed how taking one verb out, changed the sentence completely. ie: She's got a dog (she has got a dog) without the 'got' it would be, She's a dog...

Haha, but I think 'she's got a dog' should be 'she has a dog.' Otherwise it's a contraction for 'she has got.'

This is quite an unusual creature. You related many facts I never knew about the octopus or squid. I saw where the Alaskan's were searching cave like cavities at the shores edge looking for Octopus to eat! Ugh. Not me. Interesting. Well done, Sandra. Nancy:)

I didn't realize they had blue blood and three hearts! Your grandson (and us) are learning a lot. I did enjoy the video... amazing creatures. Walking on land, they look so slimy. Seeing it hunt the crab was really something!
