Just double back on this piece (as a whole) and showed it to my 7 year old daughter and she thought it was very neat :) Keep up the great work on this informative and fun kids book. Later daze.

Thank you so much for going back to the octopus, I really like getting feed back from children. I'm never sure what age to put down when I'm asked. Tell here, thank you for thinking it is neat! That is a huge compliment. :)) Thank you for telling me. (I wonder if she likes spiders?? Lol, I asked Eric and he isn't too impressed with them.) Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Once again this book has given me new eyes. It seems that these sea creatures, which have their own unique beauty in the many color variations they come in, are a lot more complex than I once thought.

Thank you for reading this one, my friend! Sorry the member pumps were over. I'm also finding out how much more there is to these creatures. It's fun researching. I'm glad you're enjoying the series. Sending you a hug! :)) Sandra xx

The video made me think of that movie The Blob. Your verse ends with a shocking fact and delightul exclamation that children would enjoy. A well-organized list of facts with supporting pictures. My favorite line:They enjoy decorating their homes with whatever shells and weeds they can find. It makes this ugly and dangerous creature sound almost human.

You're right! Now you've mentioned it looking like the blob, it really does look like the movie. The music they put with it as he went after the poor crab made it even more so. Lol.
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing this one, my friend. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And a big thank you for the six stars! Have a lovely evening. :)) Sandra xx

Now I know the age range for whom these are intended, I can relax and stop hurrying, as I have another thirty years to go before I grow out of them.

Attractively set out and full of factual information this book should end up in the library of every primary school in the country. (I am speaking as an ex primary school teacher here who back in the dim and distant 1970s/80s once held a post of special responsibility for the school library!

You have totally made my day, Jim! Thank you so much for your really encouraging review. If that were possible, I'd be in raptures. I'm also sending you the biggest hug for the six stars, although what you've said in your comments has truly gobsmacked me. Thank you, my friend. (I'm glad you've still got a while to go before you are too old to read these! LOL) Sandra xx

You are very welcome. i would love to meet you one day perhaps when this Covid thing is out of the way. IK have been told that Southampton is not actually at the end of the world.

I'd like that. No, the end of the world is in Cornwall, I've been there a few times. Oh, Sorry, that's Lands End, Lol.
It would be great to meet up.

O and the Octopus is a terrific addition to the animal alphabet you are creating. I enjoyed the drawing, poem, research and photos, along with the inset video of the walking octopus. Really good to read.

Hello Sandramitchell,
English Alphabet, O - is for Octopus.
It's a nice piece in the series being depicted in an interesting way through Verse and Prose.
Entertaining as well as Educative.
Pictures + Video enhance depth and beauty of the theme.
LAUDABLE in all respects!

Thank you for another of your really lovely reviews, and the golden star, my friend. You always put a big smile on my face. I'm delighted that you enjoyed my piece on the octopus. They were far more interesting than I originally thought. A bit of research uncovers some incredible facts. I'm so glad you thought so. The letter P coming next. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

WOW! Great poem, great video, and, as always, tons of information that I didn't know about before. I've never been a fan of octopuses, but knowing what I know now, I don't like them at all. I had no idea they could kill you with their venom, or how quickly it could happen - just as well I don't like swimming in the sea!

I decided never to go swimming in the sea after watching 'Jaws' all those years ago. Now, I won't even walk on the beach!!
Thank you so much for the 6 lovely stars, my dear friend. And I'm really pleased you liked the poem and some of the info! LOL. The video is a bit like a horror film, especially when they use that creepy music. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Good morning, Dolly. Thank you so much for reading my letter O. I learnt a lot about them, a lot that I wouldn't dare put into this book. They really do have some 'weird ways' for want of a better word. Have a lovely day! (It's wet and windy down here in Southampton) :) Sandra xx

A fantastic presentation. I knew almost none of those wonderful facts about octopi. Amazing! Your presentation is educational, and very interesting. I am a little afraid to swim in the ocean now, because I didn't know if pushed that way, an octopus could be dangerous. Your loved one will surely love this project you are putting together. Great work.
Good luck in the contest.
