Hi this is a lovely piece of poetry one can feel your calm coming through giving both vision and insight. I love the background colour you have chosen and the picture is perfect for your very nicely written poetry.

You capture the solitude and loneliness that this pandemic has a generated to so many people. The hope that you offer your readers is one of life and beauty that can help transform the solitude into so much more.
Great job.

Nice. In these extraordinary times it is so important that we all hang on to happy thoughts and continue to pursue happy things. Your poem is uplifting. Thank you - DJ

This is a lovely, beautiful, hopeful poem, Mermaids. Please stay with your dolphins, play with them and dream with them. Stay far away from the dangerous virus and stay safe. Your sea friends will protect you.

This poem pulls you in with the right words that make you visualize a "happier time" inspired by these creatures. I enjoyed the words and the picture along with it.

I like the flow of this free verse poem and the long 'e' rhymes and assonance going on in the last stanza especially with 'free,' 'enemy,' and 'sea' as well as the 's' alliteration in 'swim in spirit' which is appealing to think about. I think there was a half-rhyme with 'dreams' and 'manatees' in the first stanza, too. Thanks for posting a more pleasant kind of poem!

Sea creatures needn't worry about pandemics, but they do have plenty of other things to worry over. Beautiful picture and love the colors. I lived near the ocean and have seen dolphins in the water. They really are amazing. Well done.

Writer I have that same hope of being able to move about again. to be honest from looking at the news and attending back to back funerals, it'd looking really skeptical about now. These present times keep resorting back to my Faith over Fear Poem. I have read it and remind myself that I can't loose hope. Read it you may like it. Thanks for sharing.

The world really yearn for a return to the freedom we have all known and enjoyed, freedom of movement where the "invisible enemy" is not free to roam. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you for sharing this poem. I too have dreamed of escaping somewhere, far away from people, to wait out this pandemic. I guess it will be something we lived through...those of us who live through it. I guess it could be worse, but that is not comforting to those for whom it could get no worse...
