Love your poem. I am new to poetry, and as I am learning, I am realizing that I, too, prefer poetry that rhymes. That's why I enjoy yours so much. And it was a lovely Life advice as well. Thank you for inspiring me.

What a great reminder! Yes, when those special friends touch our minds and hearts, we do need to take the time to express our thanks and keep nurturing that friendship!

To make a friend, we need to be one. Taking the initiative with words of encouragement will never fail. Everyone thrives on positive reinforcement. And with the kind of chaos and uncertainty surrounding us today, we need to form circles of friends to sustain ourselves.

Maybe it's my age...which according to the rules keeps advancing in years (and maybe insight?)---but more and more I ask myself "Did I say thank-you to so and so?" -- "Would it hurt to say I'm sorry for what I did, please forgive me?"--and now I can add to that "I enjoy your company -- your friendship is a gift!."-- I don't think we'll ever regret the words we say from the heart...but we might regret NOT saying them!--Karenina

As a young man and needing a friend, my mother instructed first I needed to be a friend in order to have a friend. I found this to be true through out my 82 years on earth.
Thanks for sharing your take on the subject.

Yes, I can certainly see the truth of it. Why wait for the best time to tell someone how you feel? It doesn't matter the type of friendship, the time is always now, because tomorrow it may be too late.
Wise words, Thank you.
