LOL!! :) I've got a life-size picture of this being done in a middle school theater class or presentation -- think they'd have a blast with it! ;) :) Thanx for sharing, Crystie! ;) Yvette

This is a cute and funny script with a lot of flavor. (Sorry about that!) Truthfully, I love puns and you have excelled at presented some very good ones. Super posting, Crystie!

This is so funny. I like the idea of Julia Wild out there hawking her cookbook. Good idea to have your passers-by and their take on Julia's cookbook. Of course Shorty has to have his own ideas about cooking, but I don't think the porcupine pie is a workable idea. My mother had enough trouble dressing chickens. John is the perfect foil for Shorty and gives Shorty opportunity for his puns and other humorous comments. judi

Yes, porcupine pie would be difficult at best. This is humor by contrast, of course, and exaggeration. Apple pie sounds so much easier after this, and thanks for reviewing.

Well, that was a nice little scene. Very friendly and the humor and puns were cute. Shorty, just happens to have it under his hat. The banter between the friends sounded natural, and it was smooth how they included Julia.

Well crafted.

No I haven't heard of Julia Child, we had a few of our own, and the odd British chef. Beautifully written Crystie, you've created two brilliant characters in John Shane and Shorty Van... I remember the film "Shane" with Alan Ladd. Loved this comedy script my friend, blessings, Roy

It's good to see Shorty (and his punderful sense of humor) and John back again ! Thanks for the porcupine pie recipe but I think that Shorty forgot the part about gutting the critter. That would make me want to not make one. Lol.

Well...I sort of skipped that part in case I ever get a young audience, ha ha. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

I like how you set up a John Wayne voice. It helped me with the dialogue and interaction. As always, you have gift to bring characters to life through the rich dialogue. I'm ever fearful that my script will sound wooden and ill-contrived. This encourages me. Yours flows nicely.

This script, Shorty Bakes a Porcupine Pie, is a super-funny MEAT-ing of the Duke and Julia Child through the baking prowess of Shorty the SHORT cook. Fun to read.

Naw, it has to be rattlesnake pie. That's all I got. (Pulls out rubber snake and waves it ()front of JULIA, who jumps and squeals.) (in) I am not a script expert, which is why I don't review them often, but I think a narrator or direction notes can't have words missing. Might be wrong, though. Thank you for sharing and stay safe.

This is a cute and entertaining story, which I enjoyed very much. Shorty's rendition of his recipe is a humorous story all by itself. Well done!
