A lovely haiku poem as the entry of this contest. I've never seen a jacaranda but can imagine the overwhelming beauty and sense of serenity it must impose upon those who experience it. I feel this way about lilac trees... ...ec

This is a great contest entry, Mystery Author. I like the alliteration of 'p' and 's'. Your image is super. I have never seen this tree. It looks awesome. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

What a glorious sight this must be. I have never seen Jacaranda trees. Where are they found? I like your use of purple background and alliteration. Rod

Thanks for your review Rod. Jacarandas are found all over Aust and, as I just found out, the west coast of US

This could be an excellent 5-7-5 poem for the tree contest
But the syllables appear to be off at 6-7-6
If you agree, just drop tree and time to get to five syllables.
Otherwise, excellent imagery and use of alliteration.
Good luck in the contest

Thanks for your review Robert. Jacaranda is three syllables but I have shortened springtime in the last line to Spring

I checked both Websters and How Many Syllables and both say four, but the choice is yours.
Good luck.

This follows the rules and says it with style. This is a lovely poem. The illustration, of course, pairs perfectly with your words. This is nicely done.

I dn't think your title works for yur poem. I love this other than the soelling mistake in the first line. I think this would be amazing with a little bit of editing.

Thanks for your review. Just wondering what spelling mistake you're talking about. There are only two words in the first line, both spelled correctly as far as I can see.
