A very well-written 2-5-2 poem about sour grapes that sometimes become the finest wine with the right methods used for wine making that is made from sour grapes.

Sandra, yes it is a great play on what we all know "Sour Grapes" we have all made something good out not so good starts.
Comment from Cindy Decker
An excellent though-provoking poem. I think of all the athletes, writers, and artists who got their start from sour grapes: from one to many rejection
slips to numerous failed auditions. These are people who overcame bitterness and envy to become "somebody" in their fields.
Nice photo and excellent poem.
Best wishes,
Cindy

I liked this thought as perhaps we do need a little sour grapes sometimes. You followed the rules and your illustration, of course, pairs perfectly with your words. Nicely done.

2-5-2 That really is a minimum to write a poem that wants to say something. You did it! You started with a common saying, I bet practically everybody knows this "Sour grapes make the best wine", but then, with the last two syllables you question the saying. "Sometimes" (I think it is one word). And indeed, who says sour grapes make the best fine wine never has tasted the excellent wines coming from mature sweet ripe grapes.
Good little poem.

Well, I am a bit of a wine-freak. My husband was an Italian, from a family of wine merchants.

Well, I guess that's certainly one way of looking at it... not a fan of red wine, myself (wink, wink)... ;) :) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! ;)
