As an Australian, I watch what is happening to your wonderful country with sad eyes and a heavy heart. I've admired the true American's sense of patriotism and spirit since I watched Wall Street come back up after September 11. I love my own country and am proud to be an Australian, but I also admire America and hope that those two things - true patriotism and spirit - win your country's greatness back. Your poem is wonderful, and brings across that sense of longing for what was great to be great once more.
Let's keep praying that America reclaims its greatness!

Like I've said to a few that are disappointed in America's apparent decline, I remember a British prophet saying back in the early years of this century, that America for all intents and purposes is broke. Pride is still pride, it's the cause of every war that's ever been, it destroyed Rome, Britain, Egyptian, empires come and go, I'm British born, a huge empire. I'm happy that my country is and will and will always be the last and greatest. I wish things were where we could give up our guns, but if we did, the crooks wouldn't. With our diminishing police departments, we would be sitting ducks. Our problem in this country is the Democratic. They are trying to turn the USA into a Socialist country. If Trump isn't reelected, we are finished. Only the Lord can

We have criminals that have guns, they shoot one another, not the public, I?ve never owned a gun, nor any friend I?ve ever had that has, our history?s are the similar forged in similar problems and violence, Two things that curse a land, pride and swords We are to love our land not be proud of it, nationalism causes wars, never peace. I thought God was your saviour not guns, guns are designed to kill not save or protect. It?s a mindset and a stronghold, your children will die because of that mindset. I can see your country tearing itself apart Willie, before my eyes. I know you are a believer and a lover of God, and gentle. Become a revolutionary my friend. Your country needs you. Only pride and internal iniquity that brings judgement and God giving it up to self destruction, Jesus said bearing the sword will bring death to it, no political ideology will bring you undone, only your nation?s sin. Isn?t God your protector? Or has faith deserted you? I know you are a good man, don?t be sucked in, or put belief in men?s theories, and wisdom Willie.

I believe I am late in responding to critiquing your poem. I enjoyed reading it very much. There's many things we need to do to heal our country. There's enough blame to go around. I do believe in having a strong leadership which leads in fairness and empathy. So, I am not sure what happen to America? I am an optimist, so I believe things will get better. Vote!!! I don't think anything happened to America, this happening is many western cities. It not the countries it's the natural result of the indoctrination of many people, fear, a media agenda leading the charge and the other side's lack of push back.
