We all surrender to the slumber after a hard day and I used to yearn to sleep more and now that I have the opportunity to sleep as much as I like, I don't! Sod's law I expect, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I love this poem. It is so peaceful and serene. I love the picture that you chose to use with your poem. The green works so well as a relaxing color. This reminds me of just before I lie down to go to sleep and think of the wonderful day that I've had and thank God. Then give in to the sleep. It's an awesome poem. Well done! -January L :)

I love the picture, but honestly do not know what you are trying to say in these two lines. How can one be "in thought with splendor"? Are you thinking of something splendorous like that still lake? And what do you "surrender" to in your sleep? I know the expression "Surrender TO sleep. Don't try to stay awake."
