Amen to that. I agree. While a few officers have been out of line, the vast majority do a dangerous job with great skill and care. This is well said. We need to support our police.

The general public has no idea what Police have to put up with on a daily basis, often the general public are completely bonkers and the rest need protecting. I once attended an incident on New Year's Eve where a man insisted he lived at a house and the occupants would not let him in. The family where respectable and the man was a drug addict. He started lashing out at me and it took six Police officers to hold him down and bring him into the station. I had a narrow escape and was not injured. Police put their life on the line everyday they go on duty especially in America. I admire the Police and the job they do and I enjoyed your poem here Willie.
