Thank you, Willie. I stand with you. There are millions of great policemen and we need to remember that. I'm blind and the one that lives near me has given me his cell number and has said to call anytime day or night. He's a gem and there are many like him... and you.

Excellent use of words that well capture what a police officer has to go through. I like your two line verses and your strong steady beat. Your first verse is so true, police officers have to react and work under so much stress.

Very good! yes, we need to stand behind our officers. My grandfather was a policeman. I think the world has gone daft! They actually ask to abolish the police. Do they know how stupid that sounds? I can't believe that they haven't stopped all of this when it first started. The longer they wait the worse it's going to be. These people are going to put us into a Civil War!

I don't understand why anyone would want to be a police officer these days. Trying to stop crime could land you in prison. Is it really worth it tod o such thankless job?

Excellent! The police do a hard job, are putting their lives on the line for us, and deserve our respect and support. It doesn't matter what line of work you're in, there will always be that one that lets you down, but the majority are excellent and the ones we should honour. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

I'm sure 99% of police officers are as you describe. We need them, and society couldn't function without them. Sadly, there are a few who think it's OK to shoot someone in the back when he's running away or to kneel on someone's neck till he's dead. Those few bad apples have made it harder for the rest, who really are doing a good job under impossible circumstances.

Excellent poem in support of the police. I think the recent moves to defund the police and do away with police presence in the schools are such bad ideas. They ones in favor of doing away with the police are probably those who want to break the law. Your rhyme is excellent, and you are really effective in making your case for the police. judi
