Marjon,
Beautiful images transport your readers to
your garden; they join you in dancing dreamily
among natures bounty.
Listening to Chopin's music puts wings among the
readers feet as they join you in a enchanting dance.
Beautiful poem, thank you for sharing!
Blessings,
Richie

It is good to introduce children to classical music at a young age, they never forget it and are constantly reminded of the sounds in adulthood, how wonderful that your Mother played the piano, your poem is joyous and musical, love Dolly x

Your fascinating title drew me into your poem. I enjoyed your appeal to several of our senses as you described your memories. I relished your becoming "transparent". Big cheers- Joan

The images here are quite magical; the sky gradually turning to a deep purple and the scent of roses in the air. I can imagine Chopin's nocturne weaving its magic on a small child. Thanks for a lovely read.

This is such a magical piece. It captures sights, sounds and scents of that special summer evening. I could see the lavender sky, hear the piano playing and smell the roses. Definitely a memory you will savor forever. Thank you for sharing.

A very well-written poem Bout childhood memories of beautiful music and big gardens where a child can get lost between the fairies and the elves for a whole afternoon.

Beautiful descriptive language, which I am beginning to realize is a hallmark of your poetry. I am sure that the two different spellings of mum and mom is an oversight. Being English myself, I have to code switch all the time. Thank you for sharing.

I thought you created a wonderful, impressionistic scene here, with soft pastels of color and shape wrapping the music in a kind of dreamy gauze. The whole effect is to capture this moment of listening to the music, of being carried away by it into a fantasy world. The opening stanza is magical. Then I loved this "Evening retained the warmth of day, Washed mellow and magical" and "Scents of roses filled the room/ As the music tiptoed out". We get that lingering moment created by the music, still holding us in its spell. estory

Wonderful descriptions; this line, embraced me " sky a deep lavender-blue, darkening to purple." Some lines molded in my brain. Delightful descriptions of sound and color.

Dear Marjon what a lovely read, this latest poem you have posted. There are so many wonderful images I doubt I could list them all. But I think my favorite reads like this."scents of roses crept into the room as the music tiptoed out"
