Hello, anonymous,
Nice entry for the Spiritual writing prompt contest. Good syllable count and connection between lines. Pretty presentation. I didn't know what Mammon meant, thank you.

Beautiful picture! Lovely spiritual message but found the rhythm a bit stunted and I'm not sure what mammon has to do with spirit. Perhaps you're mimicking a "Confucius Says" message?

Speaker thinks the place where Mammon will reign, spirit will still linger like tumbleweed; I do not understand anything more than this; well done; ALCREATOR

A short poem (a 5-7-5) to make me think. It is a deep thought, and so true! You didn't need a longer poem to make it more clear.
While people continue to adore the golden calf and try to get a piece of it, they think this is the most important task in their life. They don't allow themselves the time for spirituality. But God can wait, He doesn't go away and lingers there, undying, patient, like the tumbleweed.
My interpretation, I might be wrong.
I liked the poem and the illustration.

You make a good comparison with your contest entry, Mystery Author. I enjoyed reading and thinking about your well-chosen words. Your image is a good match to those words. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
