A wonderful poetic tribute to a man who has been a wonderful father to you. "with open arms you welcomed me" says it all. I hope he gets to see this poem.

Your well-written, descriptive couplets serve as a lovely, sincere tribute to the man who has been your father in every way that truly counts. It is clear to see that you are blessed and that you realize you are.

This is the type of "happily ever after" we love to hear about in real life. Your father sounds like an amazing man with a lot of love to share right from the first moment you met.
Best of luck in the contest with this gem.

What a beautifully written poem. It's so warm, heartfelt. I could feel the love, the admiration you have for your father on every line. It takes a special man to do what he did. Very nicely done.

Sounds like you love your Daddy. That's what I called my father also. Well actually he was my stepfather, my Dad died when I was 5. I really didn't remember him, my mother kept him alive with stories of him. She said he was so proud of me and all my life I wished he hadn't died. Life has many ups and downs, and his death was a down.

I do love him very much. I am sorry that you had to lose him, but happy you had someone who took on the role.

This is a very nice poem about a father. It's a good entry for this competition. I do have one recommendation though. Your poem refers sometimes to your father as 'you' and sometimes as 'he'. I would choose one or the other just to be consistant.
Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

This is a very clever and creative poem with a lovely photo accompanying it. The rhyming is pretty good and the syllable count is consistent. Best of luck in the contest.

Great tribute, you made your father proud. If you are any reflection of him, he must be a great man, he has to be worthy for that love. If that is a picture of him, he is a handsome man.
