Dear Beth, another period of tough decisions reported in this chapter.
I did want to comment, if I have never done it before, About how much I admire how you and your husband communicated and considered together, when important decisions needed to be made.

Thank you so much Suzanne, I truly appreciae the review and nice comments. There will come a period where communicate tends to break down over the house in the country but on most things we did communicate.

Another interesting chapter, Beth. That poor child had to have some reason to run away from home. Maybe it was just the insulin shots she had to endure for her diabetes. Well done. Nancy:)

Thank you for the review and comments. Yes, I was afraid that there might be more going on that caused the girl to run away. I didn't know how to find out without prying. She may have had mental problem or maybe just a rebellious teenage thing with strict parents.

Sarah really concerned me. I am wondering if there wasn't more going on that diabetics. I do enjoy reading your memoirs.

Your Dad wasn't doing so well. (lower case 'd' on dad because of the your)

You said maybe we could just let him frame in a house. (something is missing)

Thank you for the review and comments. To frame in a house means to just build the framework, but I changed it in case it might sound strange to others as well. I was worried that there might be more going in Sarah's home, but hoped if so the pastor would dig more deeply into the problem and council the family.

That was sad about the little girl. I wonder what was so horrid at home that she kept running away. Your poor baby that must've been horrid having stage fright like that. Your story is well-written, very interesting I look forward to reading more.

Thank you so much for the review and comment. I think something bad must have been happening to make that girl keep running away. It was sad that she died so young. Her parent seemed to care but it is hard to know what goes on behind the scenes.

It's a shame no one investigated it.

I hoped the pastor would. He knew the girl and the family.

Some interesting tales to narrate and interludes as life moves on apace in your new surroundings - there is a wonderful sense of immediacy in the narration

This is another great chapter in your life. I felt so sorry for diabetic Sarah and her dying so young. Christmas with a live tree was probably a wonderful experience.

Oh, Beth! Another complication in your life! And I know what it means to decide to help out financially a family member. When you have enough yourself, there is no problem, but when you have to count the money to make ends meet, that means real trouble. You want to help, but can't really afford to. The idea to make him work for the money is good, but when it is for a house that you do not really want, then I understand you doubting and hoping he would decline.

Thank you Marjon for the review and comments. Yes, there is always something to compliment my life. I was worried that he wanted to build that place so we could move there because he liked country living. I like the convenience of being near stores, schools and hospitals.

We discussed it and decided we needed some advice on what to. I didn't really want to call the police station. "Maybe we could call that nice.

I can see this unfolding into wisdom. He was right about earning money, makes both feel worthy.
You can always sell the place.

Thank you for the review and comments and for noticing my missed word. I was afraid in the back of his mind he really wanted to move to the country and farm for a living.

He probably did. It sometimes gets in our blood to enjoy the outdoors and seeing things grow knowing you had a little something to do with it.
