I am left feeling confused. I believe there should be a joke or a pun. I even laughed without understanding why? So, I am giving you the five for delighting me in a way when I'm not even sure how.

Comment from Iza Deleanu
Wow, this poem is so mischievous and amazing - Why does a raven
symbolize melancholy?
Methinks prejudice
Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Ha ha ha, you made me smile here and different birds have different traits that give us the sense of personality, but they are all worthy equals, I enjoyed this fun write, love Dolly x

What a lovely bird to go with the 5-7-5-poem. I enjoyed your bird-themed very much. It is difficult to comment in a short poem, but this work is lovely. Best wishes in the contest.

Comment from Ogden
I find it odd that you relate Poe's raven to melancholy and prejudice. ??
Also, why aren't the birds in your illustration crows or ravens?

This is an excellent poem for the bird contest
with 5-7-5 syllables. Methinks in may be the black feathers,
unlike the colorful birds in your picture.
Prejudice comes in many forms.
Nicely done
Good luck in the contest.

This is offbeat and I liked the uniqueness. The picture, of course, is not a raven but it is a good contrast. They are lovely birds. This is nicely done.
