How could I not give a six to this sweet and lovely story, so well told with a bit of Irish lilt thrown in. It was also a story of faith and hope and the revelation that God and His visiting Angels are real! I think you meant 'Hmm' here. "She did? I've never said a word. Hum"

This is a beautiful story you have created. Since this story is for Shannon, I'm assuming that Shannon is a real person who was adopted. It is quite a moving story. It brought a tear to my eye.

This is a wonderful story and so needed in these desperate times. Your writing is beautiful. I could see your characters through your words. I would mention a little typo just so you can fix it-- "That's you (r) house."

Her red hair was unkept, a loose braid she'd tried to remedy on her own. She wore a yellow rain slicker accented with polka-dotted rain boots. Most noteworthy, was her scrappy, one-eyed teddy bear. No doubt, the daughter born of Ireland was an adorable creature. She did not walk, however, she marched; Teddy dangling by one arm. (loved this description)
"Thank you, Doctor. "Shannon, fetch my purse that I may pay...." (Don't need the quotation mark before Shannon.)
