Liked your acrostic construction, you really caught the warm, sunshine spirit of summer! And Marcus Aurellius, a confirmed Stoic, the last of the "5 Good Emperors" of Rome, and perhaps even more famous than the founder and creator of the Stoic Philosophy, Zeno of Citium, in Athens, circa 3rd century, B.C. Remarkable that M.A. was able to live a contented life and keep his beliefs and value, after all the turmoil he went through fighting the Parthians and Germans, losing his adopted brother Verus and his wife, Faustina. Great philosopher, I have his "Meditations.
Neat that we admire the same legends!

Thanks Irish. Fascinating stuff and thank you for setting a little bit more light on this and in my studies I discovered that Marcus Aurelius was the last in line five good emperors

They post a picture every 2 weeks & people are welcome to write something related to the picture. There is no deadline. If you'd like more info on it let me know. I'm alternating my suspenseful story called
Traffic with these poems. My next one is related to John Cage the controversial musician. It is called Graffitti.

That was a bit of a tongue twister to read out loud. I can see you are referring to days that have gone by and that they were fun. However, I don't feel that fun from this piece although the pictures looks like it was a good time.
