A very well-written poem using selected words about decision we all should make to choose love above hate because hate is a big burden to carry along inside your heart while love sets us free.

Thank you for your review!!

A great contest entry and a sound reminder, but is what's going on really a matter of hate or something else. Is it possible that we are missing the forest for the trees? I sense a much deeper plan at play, and themes being shouted a mere illusion.

You, Sir Lancellot, are a very 'eyes wide open' kind of guy, and I do not disagree even in the least. But as the painter paints different scenes so our poetry depicts different views... and the message here is one that all could embrace. 😉 Thanks so much for your review, Sir!

I believe this particular writing challenge must have been difficult to undertake and I applaud your incorporation of all of these words into an artfully crafted poem - one that has relevance for today. Not only did you rise to the challenge, but you have written a poem that is well written a joy to read.

Always with love, Yvette!
"Cause "hate" just is too burdensome to bear...
Powerful and timely.
Rhymical and soothing, despite the chaos in our world that inspired your exceptionally well-crafted words...
Beautiful here today...finally!
Hoping you enjoy this splendid day...

It is a pity that we do not heed the words of great leaders and learn from past mistakes as we seem to repeat deeds that once troubled us and so the cycle continues, fine words of wisdom here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hello;
This was a brilliant use of the required words! My favorite stanza:
Flowers of blue and flowers of black
Adorn headstones across this great land,
Final good-byes from fam'ly and friends
Threaten to tear what our hearts can't withstand...
Floers of black and blue ... Timely and poignant and sad.
Thank you for creating this beautiful poem.
Be blessed,
Deb

This is an amazing, inciteful poem on love vs. hate. Hate - too heavy a burden for this heart to bear, for sure. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem. Would that more would read it. Well done, good luck in the contest.

Your poem echos the sentiments of the peaceful
protesters of today.
In all the legendary writings of the world; love has
always defeated hate.
Thank you for sharing.

Not sure how appealing to all to hear the words if a great leader in a time a of trial can be interpreted as 'saying goodbye ', but I am always fascinated by the many ways things are 'read' - thank you. I will go back and try to see that perspective in this.... Thank you so much for your review and your insight and have a wonderful week ahead! 🙂
