This is a very interesting approach -- there are problems with your use of the poetry format, however. The minute form requires a syllable count of 8/4/4/4, three stanzas equaling 60 syllables, hence the name. Yours is 7/4/4/4 in the second stanza, and 9/4/4/4 in the third.

The form also has a strict rhyme scheme of aabb ccdd eeff, and is written in iambic meter. Yours has stress on incorrect syllables.

Regardless, I enjoyed the fresh perspective in your choice of topic, and the presentation is great. :) Poetry Dances has an excellent example of a minute poem.

This minute poem, This Life's Your Bit, has the general formatting required and seems to question the President's investment in being the leader of Americans.

Good Day Mr. Schott, Sorry for the delay in response. It's a bit of a rant to try to motivate participation in voting regardless of party with a little past history mixed in. Thank you for the Review Time to Read and Rate this poem offering. Blessings.

Thank you for all the definitions--they came in handy. I tend to agree with much of what you say. I gather the last stanza concerns the systematic genocide our republic is founded upon? An ideas for a solution?

Peace, Lee

Thank you for Your Review and Continued Support. With the limited syllable count my aim really was to include Many Civilizations that rose to power then destroy themselves by genocide. Thanks again, Blessings.
