Still sometimes I wonder if we can do without doubts even. We have lived on dreams although they have popped so many times
Doubts are an element in life that gives life a go. They make you think , stop and find the true way. They need to be constructive though, not just silly doubts.

It's not a biographical write, just a piece of creative writing. The mother may well have been on based on my own Mum.

Very good recollection of your mother. Losing a parent especially at age 10 to 18 is very hard. You look for reasoning and there is none. I think every child who loses a parent at that age should have counseling. I think the doctors should recommend that to the surviving relatives. It seems like you survived.

It's not biographical, the phrase 'Don't let doubt cast it's shadow on your dream' came to me during the night and by mid-morning it had expanded to three verses. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

You get those inspirations at night also? I also get these inspirations in my sleep. I also write song lyrics and woke up in the middle of the night and wrote "I'm A Patriot". that was years ago maybe 2014 and of course it went nowhere. My friends really enjoyed it though.

I would throw a comma after 'by' in line 9, or maybe even a semi-colon.
